The Information Science field has discussed different shared specifications of a conceptualization which comprises the diversity of support, processes, resources and people by which the library needs to adapt. The question here is about the conceptual identification of the terminology ‘hybrid libraries; The aim is to contribute to the literature in the Information Science field by proposing a concept of hybrid libraries which comprises the social sphere, in terms of the developments existing in the society, in libraries. The study is theoretical and aims at discussing and improving theoretical and conceptual foundations. It is a qualitative and bibliographical research. The method of Discourse Analysis is used to analyze the concepts of hybrid libraries developed by authors who study the theme. It is noticed that in the hybrid library environment, there is a greater flexibility in products and services offered, since it originates from an organizational structure which proposes multiplicity of languages in the institution practices. The epistemological discussion in the construction of a concept of hybrid libraries needs to take into account the impact of the use of technologies on the provision of services that promote the social inclusion of communities in each hybrid environment, considering their cultures, values and principles....
The main goal of the article is to identify the essence, role, premises and conditions of managing patient engagement in the process approach. Patient engagement is an important component of health services, covering a wide area of action at the systemic and organizational levels. A comprehensive and coherent approach to the processes related to patient involvement, especially in the area of care decision-making, is essential for the smooth functioning of the healthcare system. The article is of a conceptual research nature and was developed as a result of an in-depth analysis of literature, documents and interviews. During the analysis and evaluation of the examined process, mapping methods were used, enabling the development of a graphic form of the model. For this purpose, iGRAFX software was used. Based on the conducted analyses, a conceptual model of managing the patient engagement processes was proposed, taking into account the main tasks and participants responsible for their implementation at the organizational level. Including patient engagement management in a process context allows you to focus on creating and delivering value to patients and the healthcare system. The process approach to managing this issue allows for understanding the role of the patient in the healthcare system and ensuring the integrity of the applied principles and practices necessary to implement the concept of patient engagement at all levels of the healthcare system. Due to the specificity of health services, the involvement of patients should be directed at conscious and active multilevel cooperation for health....
Current insurance models, assuming that inter-arrival time of claims, are distributed randomly and thus well approximated by Poisson processes. Here we provide clear proof that the timing of inter-claims fits by non-Poisson patterns, marked by rapid events, separated by long periods of inactivity. The time of inter-arrival claims will be heavy tailed, most claims will be executed quickly, while a few will have very long waiting times. We will model and analysis of insurance based on claim inter-arrival time, the time interval between two successive claims and the ability to carry out such modeling was limited by a lack of ecologically relevant data collected on claims inter-arrival. We propose a structured process behavior model based on data from Egyptian fire insurance company. Our analysis shows that claim activities can be represented by non-Poisson processes and that the subsequent distribution of inter-arrival activity times follows the Pareto distribution. These results will help researchers understand daily behavioral trends and create more sophisticated predictive models of claims....
Local Accommodation is increasingly an option for those who travel and seek new concepts or follow trends. The present research aims to understand what the main influence and motivation factors are when the tourist of the north Portugal chooses local accommodation in Portugal and abroad. After a literature review, an online survey was conducted during May and July 2019, with all Portuguese living in the north of Portugal who had travelled at least once over the past 5 years. A random sample of 239 participants was collected and data was treated through SPSS software. The gathered information allowed developing an exploratory descriptive analysis, an inferential analysis and a factor analysis. The results seem to indicate that there is a significant relationship between the national tourist’s adhesions to touristic accommodation in Portugal and abroad. The adhesion to local accommodation in Portugal is not associated with the reasons for the trip/travel, and the adhesion to local accommodation abroad is mostly motivated by leisure. The location (Portugal/abroad) is not relevant to the perception of the national tourist about the touristic accommodation....
